Policy Atlas

How does a newsroom answer when someone asks it to revisit an old story? Look one up and see what it has said, with every source.

Each record treats updating, removing a name, de-indexing and taking a story down as separate choices, because they are. Every entry links to its evidence, and earlier versions are kept.

Counts cover only the newsrooms listed here, not the whole country. If we couldn't find a policy, the record says so; that doesn't mean the newsroom has none. Data last updated Oct 14, 2026. The automated search re-reads newsroom websites every quarter; the latest refresh was Oct 11, 2026. What the terms mean · See the Atlas in charts.

18 newsrooms in this view, 4 with data. Each record shows its strongest source first: a person's check outranks the newsroom's statement, which outranks the automated reading from NSMPA.
